Background

Repro Disseny was founded in 1983, in small 40 m2 premises on Barcelona’s Ronda General Mitre. Our main business was reprography and printing. It didn’t take long to realise we were in a sector that required constant innovation to keep pace with increasingly rapid technological changes.
At that time the printing process were long and complicated. In 1986 we made what proved to be a crucial decision: the purchase of a Macintosh computer, laser printer and video camera, since at that time the standard systems for writing text and type-setting were Olivetti electric typewriters, IBM composers and professional picture desks.
Without realising it, we were climbing aboard a train that over the years has been responsible for a genuine revolution: the digital world.
